First, thank you for your patience while we've been in a holding pattern. We finally have some news that we're thrilled to share! Breaking things down into bullet points:

• The house at 1616 NE 50th (the main) has sold!

• The new owner is AEPi Fraternity.

• We are renting back the house on 50th for 2 years for chapter women to live in.

That leaves the house at 1818 NE 45th (the current annex). Here is the update for that property:

• The current structure will be renovated (not razed and rebuilt) and become the sole chapter house.

• We have hired an architect who is redesigning the property.

• We are working with AXiD National Housing Corp (NHC), Chapter Advisors, and key chapter members to determine the best layout for the new chapter house.

• Money from the sale of the Main will partially fund the renovations, with the remainder being through loans and possibly financial giving.

• We are working with NHC and our bank to fine tune the financial modeling for the construction.

• In the coming months we will be asking alumnae for comments and suggestions on what the prospective plans are for our chapter house.

The tentative timeline for all of this is as follows:

• 2023-24 school year: fine-tune funding, finalize plans, permitting with City

• Summer 2024: begin construction

• 2024-25 school year: construction takes place

• Fall 2025: construction complete, members move into the renovated chapter house

Because the timeline for this renovation process is so fast-paced, we may have to adjust the schedule above as necessary. Finalized details will be forthcoming and shared as soon as we are able.
